ChildrenOur Children's MinistryWelcome to the children's ministry of Faith United Methodist Church, where we offer a highly energized and dynamic program of Christian education designed to bring children together to learn, play, and grow in a warm and caring Christian environment. Come and visit us soon. We have something for everyone! Our mission is to lead children to learn about God, to love one another, and to live lives of discipleship. The guiding principles of our program are: teaching children the Bible, empowering kids to live their lives of faith in Jesus Christ openly every day, integrating children into worship, and engaging adults and youth with children thus strengthening our inter-generational community.

God and Family programThe God and Family program helps you understand the importance of family and God's role in a healthy family. The program is officially recognized by the Boy Scouts of America, Camp Fire USA, Girl Scouts of the USA and American Heritage Girls. Badges are available upon completion of the program. But you do not need to be a member of a scouting organization to participate.
The program is for students in the fourth and fifth grades and a parent or other adult mentor. Jennifer Krinke will lead a six-session program on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. starting Sept. 29. Other dates for the program are Oct. 13 and 27 and Nov. 10 and 17. The final session will be on Tuesday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. and will include a pizza party.
In order to receive the award for this class, students and parents/mentors must attend every session. Homework is required, and students must successfully complete an interview with the pastor. The charge for the class will be $15 per child, and the cost of the award will be additional. Please sign up at the Welcome Center in the Church Commons by Sunday, Sept. 19, so that we know how many workbooks to order.
